Due to unanticipated circumstances Club Tantra will not be holding its events, at least for the remainder of the year 2007, at the loft located at 344 West 38th Street. Instead our sensual gathering will be moved to the home of Sexy Spirits, a spacious 2,000 sq. foot apartment in the Columbus Circle area that can easily accommodate up to 75 couples within a more intimate and private setting. We have scheduled our Christmas sensual party for Wednesday, December 19th, 2007 evening staring at 7:00pm and ending Midnight. The 1st Club Tantra Party for the New Year will be Wednesday January 9th, 2008.

Ironically, it was this very location nearly 8 years ago that our very first sensual Tantric party was held with about 25 couples and the dream of Club Tantra was born. We led a beautiful gathering of couples with an opening Puja that led everyone into a feast of love and sensuality. Nearly all the couples left that evening with beaming bright auras and many wrote in weeks afterwards of how transformative the evening had been for them.

Our play space will take place in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom, living room and den area with a fireplace. We will be providing a feast of foods and soft drinks (if you prefer BYOB is permitted.) We encourage everyone to dress as festive as possible with perhaps additional clothes for more intimate play. Though we will have plenty of play toys and massage nests set up, but you are most welcomed to bring our own as well. This is still considered a private party gathering with members-only able to attend. Only couples and single females will be admitted. Admission for members is $45 per couple. Single females are FREE.

In this blog post I would like to give you a quick review of Club Tantra’s debut Open House and Grand Opening, and then finally express the changes and new directions on the course that I would like to stir our “ship” in.

Our open house on November 4th welcomed over 300 sexy spirits who came as far as Philidelphia and Connecticut to explore the 7,000 sq. foot sensually and tastefully designed loft Midtown Manhattan. Visitors were allowed to roam freely through rooms and though our Open House was not a play party, we certainly were not going to get in the way of a delicious kissing scene in the Make Out Room or a hot flogging scene in the Dark and Light Angels Room. The success of both these events could not have been accomplished without the dedication and enthusiasm of all of the volunteers that came out to support this new club concept. Their continued support is vital to our success.

The following week our Grand Opening became our 1st “test drive” into the odyssey of sensuality with 100 open hearts leading the way. A beautiful puja was led by Marina. The moment I heard her soft voice guiding the opening circle, I felt immediately that we had found the right tone of energy for Club Tantra! Despite the fact that men outnumbered the women nearly 3 to 1, Marina brilliantly guided the gathering encouraging men to partner with other men as brothers. It was truly amazing to see the powerful and graceful energy that began to shine in every man present.
After the Puja, members were invited to mingle, and make new friends and possible playmates to explore the more intimate rooms accessible only as a couple. This proved somewhat frustrating to the many single males who were not allowed access. Ironically, as the night wore on, more new couples arrived to the party while many single men began to leave.

It became immediately clear to me that the current membership policy needed to be changed. I will be discussing those changes later in this.

By 9:00pm, all of the rooms were filled with sexy spirits diving into their pleasure of their choice. It was truly a dream come true to see all the massage rooms filled with givers and receivers, couples kissing like teenagers in the Make Out room, a role play scene orchestrated in the Dark & Light Angels Room by Morpheus and Brigette and a group of 8 other sexy spirits, and, finally, in the Kama Sutra Room, at least 6 couples engaging delicious acts of lusty love!

At 11pm, the hosts were asked to gather all the members from the playrooms into the Tango Lounge for the closing circle. At 11:15pm, we had our closing circle with about 50 members who expressed their evening’s high points, as well as their shortcomings. It was a beautiful and connecting way to end our debut first Club Tantra Party.

Now about the NEW changes to our current membership policy.

The greatest challenge presented at both our Open House and Grand Opening was one of gender balance with men out numbering women nearly three to one.

This presents a major challenge to Club Tantra’s intention of to be, first and foremost, a couple and women friendly environment. For this reason I have decided to reprioritize the club’s membership to insure gender balance, giving first preference, to couples, then single females, and finally single males based on need. In order to affect this change I am making a number of options available to those single men who have paid for a year membership.
